I tend to only breed when I have a waiting list of potential owners that have either previously had a poodle and understand the breed. Or from people that have researched the temperament of the breed and taken into consideration the high maintenance a poodle needs. From coat maintenance to dietary care and exercise regimes.
Going on a waiting list ensures that a person gets to know where their puppy is coming from, knows and understands the Sire & Dam of the litter and their extensive health test and personalities, they get to know me and how I treat, raise and care for all of my dogs and they will see that this is a passion for me.
Ethical Breeding
I prioritize the health and well-being of every dog, ensuring ethical and responsible practices. I keep the older dogs as pets, rather than rehoming them as I am dedicated to my dogs' lifelong care.
Transparency
I provide extensive information about the Sire, Dam, and their health tests. You will have the opportunity to visit and see the puppies in person before committing so that you can make an informed decision.
Ongoing Support & Care
I provide guidance on raising and caring for your poodle, including diet, exercise, and grooming tips.
Socialization
Puppies are raised in a calm, hygienic, and controlled environment, with no crates or kennels. I prioritize their well-being and spend time with them in the critical first 8 weeks to ensure they are well-adjusted.
Health Checks
I am a nurse and perform ultrasound scans, microchip implantation, progesterone testing, and cytology tests. My dogs are genetically tested for various health conditions common in poodles.
Boarding Services
I’m the only stud owner who offers boarding services for female dogs to make them feel secure in a natural, relaxed setting.
Relaxed & Fun Personality
I work my holidays around the needs of my clients, and my approach is calm, friendly, and stress-free. I’m proud to have built long-term relationships with repeat owners.
A little about me
Hi! I'm Dawn, I’ve always worked in the nursing and caring sector, supporting others that are going through traumatic events in their life. When my children were small I would work very unsocial hours so I could be around for them to accommodate their after school activities etc. Just prior to the pandemic, I realised I wanted and needed to change my lifestyle pattern as I was working ridiculous amounts of hours, constantly on call and night shifts just wasn’t healthy for me. I felt as my family was older, I could live a slower paced life and stop to smell the flowers as they say !
As a child and having my own family we have always been surrounded by furry friends having shared our lives with beautiful dogs and cats and oddly enough a few tortoise ! I’ve been around puppies for as long as I remember - as having a well purebred dog and allowing them to have a litter for the right reasons is a natural thing to do and with the right dog is to improve the breed by selecting dogs whose conformation and temperament are stellar examples of their particular breed.
So with the is mind, this is where Royal KC Poodles was born. I’m now very fortunate to be able to surround myself with the most beautiful well mannered poodles large and small and offer a multitude of services.
In my spare time I’m very much a home-bird. I enjoy painting and crafts of all kinds. I enjoy cooking not just for myself but my canine companions too. Getting out and about at the weekends exploring the UK countryside and coast is also a passion of mine and when I’m able a nice sunny break once a year.
